Current Positions Available

Technical Assistant – Part Time 16-20 Hours Per Week

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Assistant. The role of the Technical Assistant(s) is to assist in providing administrative and technical support to the Technical Specialist(s) within the business.

Key Contributions and Outputs 

  • Supporting the Technical Specialist(s) in research and analysis to meet Client needs and objectives
  • Supporting the Technical Specialist(s) in the implementation of new business
  • Developing and maintaining internal relationships to help maintain business flow and meet agreed targets
  • Contributing to the smooth running of the technical administrative function within the business
  • Promoting the profile of the business within the profession and wider communities
  • Continuous professional development to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs
  • Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally.

Authorities

Note: Authorities give you the opportunity to outline the key areas of decision making that the role may have. This may include; but not limited to:

  • Filtering phone calls

 Nature and scope of contributions

Reports to: Technical Specialist

Direct Reports:  None

The role holder is responsible for:

  • Managing new business recording and submission
  • Communicating and recording product and planning analysis results
  • Liaising with product providers and other relevant third parties
  • Individual workflow and task delivery
  • Assisting the Technical Specialist(s) with:
  • Preparing paperwork for client meetings
  • Planning and product research
  • New business submission and tracking to conclusion
  • Technical filing on to business systems.

The role holder will keep up to date with legislative and industry changes which affect the business and its clients.

The role holder may from time to time be required to undertake reasonable additional or other duties as are necessary to meet the needs of the business.

Technical Specialist moving to Financial Adviser – Full Time

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Specialist. The role of the Technical Specialist(s) is to support the Financial Planner(s) and Adviser(s) when informing and advising Clients on financial strategies, plans and products.

Full support from the start of this role will also be given to move to a Financial Planner in own right and clients will be provided.

Key Contributions and Outputs 

  • Supporting the Financial Planner(s) and Adviser(s) in research and analysis to meet Client needs and objectives
  • Supporting the Financial Planner(s) and Adviser(s) in preparing Client financial plans and suitability reports
  • Developing and maintaining internal relationships to help maintain business flow and meet agreed targets
  • Promoting the profile of the business within the profession and wider communities
  • Continuous professional development to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs
  • Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally.

Nature and scope of contributions

Reports to:                   Technical Manager
Direct Reports:  Technical Assistant(s)

The role holder is responsible for:

  • The technical aspects of preparing for Client meetings, including:
  • Preparing and compiling financial analysis data
  • Analysing Client data and preparing cash flow analyses
  • Researching products to support recommendations
  • Compiling financial planning recommendations and suitability reports
  • Providing support for the Financial Planner(s) and Adviser(s)
  • Ensuring that all regulatory and compliance standards are met
  • Liaising with product providers and other relevant third parties
  • Ensuring that all Client requirements are followed through to the appropriate conclusion
  • Managing, recording and monitoring Client annual reviews on behalf of the Financial Planner(s) and Adviser(s)
  • Assisting the Financial Planner(s) and Adviser(s) with Client presentations and any other activities as agreed
  • Individual workflow and task delivery
  • Assisting the Technical Manager with annual technical reviews of services and products.

The role holder may be required to travel for Client visits.  This may involve working outside office hours.

The role holder will keep up to date with legislative and industry changes which affect the business and its Clients.

The role holder may, from time to time, be required to undertake reasonable additional or other duties as are necessary to meet the needs of the business.
